VEGETARIAN DESSERT
DESSERT;-
PEAR PARADISH;-
Pears 4 large sized
Lemon juice 1 tblspns
Orange rind 1 tblspns
Pistachio nuts 6-8
Unsweetened mango pulp 1/2 cup
Fresh orange juice 1 cup
Sherri 4 tblspns
Method;
Wash, peel and halve pears. Remove seeds, apply lemon juice and keep aside. Cut orange rind into thin strips. Soak the pistachios in hot water for five minutes. Drain, peel and slice. Arrange pears with the cut side facing down in a medium sized oven-fresh orange juice, sherry and pour on the arranged pears. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for thirty minutes. Garnish with sliced pistachios and serve warm. You may also serve this chilled, if desire.
